Ceremonies

Memorial Day

  • The Memorial Day Ceremony is held on the same day as the recognized national holiday.  Usually the last Monday in May.
  • Location:  Outdoor amphitheater of Riverside National Cemetery
  • Time:  Ceremony starts at 11:00 a.m. and lasts about 1 - 1-1/2 hours.
  • Attendance: Recent Memorial Day ceremony attendance was approximately 8500 people including about 3000 Harley Riders with “West Coast Thunder”
  • Weather:  Around high 90’s to low 100’s in the Sun.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day honors all Men and Women who served in defense of this great Nation.  The Veterans Day Ceremony is held every year on November 11th irregardless of the day of week it occurs.

  • Location:  Outdoor amphitheater of Riverside National Cemetery
  • Time:  Ceremony starts at 11:00 a.m. and usually lasts about 1- 1-1/2 hours.
  • Attendance:  Recent Veterans Day ceremony attendance was approximately 3500 people
  • Weather:  Usually in the 70’s
